When in 1899 the German August Horch founded a company producing luxury cars together with Carl Benz, no one expected that more than a hundred years later the company would be one of the strongest players on the market, and in the so-called premium class. At the beginning of the 20th century, Horch cut himself off from his partner, and his new company eventually merged with three other manufacturers: Wanderer, DKW and Auto Union. At that time, the Audi brand in its current form was created, commemorated by the logo connecting four rings. For us, fans of the VAG group, this badge has a special meaning. Switching from Volkswagen to Audi has become a common phenomenon. That is why we decided to meet Audi fans’ needs and create an issue filled to the brim with cars of this brand, especially since we have a special fondness for the concept issue. We invite you to read the last VOLXZONE this year, the cover of which is decorated with the winner of this year’s Raceism Event: the Audi TT 8N by Wolfgang Maier from the Lownatics team; and an equally strong player: TT 8N by Michael ‘Bremi’ Grabowski.

I like concept editions the most, because they are the essence of our work. Materials collected throughout the season end up in several precisely planned issues, thanks to which you, our Readers, get something unique. This was also our idea this time. For the second time in the history of VOLXZONE, the magazine was filled exclusively with black cars. As if that wasn’t enough, all the projects are of the highest level, although each represents a completely different concept and style. So we have something for fans of classics, lovers of the new wave, and followers of racing climates. The cover was dominated by the 360-horsepower Lupo, which became one of the most famous projects of the past season in Poland. If this car doesn’t surprise you, one of the cars described on the following pages certainly will. But it’s best to see it for yourself. Enjoy reading!

Each issue of VOLXZONE is guided by a specific concept – you already know that. Sometimes we choose cars based on their appearance or power, or even color. This time we chose them based on a completely different key: the history of their owners, that is, what really builds our community. So here we will find projects created in record time, the fruit of the extraordinary passion of the creators, or from a country where tuning is completely forbidden! But in order not to reveal all the details, it is best to familiarize yourself with them! The past two months have passed under the sign of intensive “meeting-time”. As you probably noticed in the last issue, in VOLXZONE we have moved away from reporting on events. Why? Because in most cases too much time passed between the event and the moment of publication, so we decided to create a place especially for you where you can read reports on an ongoing basis – blog.volxzone.com. Those of you, who are hungry for traditional magazine formats have nothing to worry about, because a special issue will soon appear online, containing reports from many of this year’s conventions, and expanded with items that you won’t find anywhere else! In the meantime, I encourage you to read the current issue even more than usual, containing incredibly interesting stories!
