OldSchoolSuicide Party 2019

Choć OSSP nie jest pierwszą imprezą w sezonie, a poprzedzają ją takie znakomitości jak choćby Wörthersee, czy Wolfsgruppe BBQ, dla nas ‘Oldschool’ zawsze był kluczowym punktem inaugurującym okres zlotowy. Nie inaczej było i w czerwcu 2019, chociaż okoliczności sprawiły, że w Wilczynie mogliśmy pojawić się wyłącznie w okrojonym składzie i jedynie na kilka godzin. Niemniej, niezależnie od przeszkód, tu po prostu trzeba być!

Although OSSP is not the first event of the season, and it is preceded by such celebrities as for example Wörthersee or Wolfsgruppe BBQ, for us 'Oldschool’ has always been the key point inaugurating the events period. It was no different in June 2019, although the circumstances meant that in Wilczyn we could only appear in a trim lineup and only for a few hours. However, regardless of obstacles, you just have to be here!

Powiedzmy sobie wprost, OSSP to nie miejsce dla tych, którzy na zlocie szukają niezliczonych atrakcji, pokazów, konkursów i lecących zewsząd fajerwerków. Jak już niejednokrotnie podkreślaliśmy, to miejsce dla tych, którzy pragną spotkać się z przyjaciółmi z całego kraju i znaleźć odskocznię od codziennego życia. Tu problemy nie istnieją, a jedyne co się liczy to niepodrabialny klimat. Szczerze mówiąc trudno mi go opisać, ponieważ o OldSchoolSuicide Party pisałem i mówiłem już tyle razy, że znalezienie nowego punktu zaczepienia staje się wręcz niemożliwe- to trzeba poczuć na własnej skórze, a jeśli już miałeś ku temu okazję, to doskonale rozumiesz o co w tym wszystkim chodzi.

Let’s face it, OSSP is not a place for those who look for countless attractions, shows, contests and fireworks. As we have emphasized many times, this is a place for those who want to meet friends from all over the country and find a springboard from everyday life. Here the problems do not exist, and the only thing that counts is the unmanageable climate. Honestly, it’s hard for me to describe it, because I wrote and talked about the OldSchoolSuicide Party so many times that finding a new starting point becomes almost impossible – you have to feel it, and if you already had the opportunity, you perfectly understand what’s in it.

Mocną stroną OldSchoolSuicide Party jest lokalizacja. Ośrodek wypoczynkowy w Wilczynie zapewnia wystarczającą odległość od miejskiego zgiełku, a bliskość jeziora (niejednego zresztą) jest jego dodatkowym atutem, podobnie jak stanowiące bazę noclegową domki letniskowe. Jeśli tego typu wakacyjne klimaty są tym, czego oczekujesz od imprez motoryzacyjnych, rozważ przyjazd do Wilczyna na kilka dni przed zlotem w ramach urlopu, a z pewnością nie pożałujesz (szczególnie, jeśli zaplanujesz podobny wyjazd z grupą najbliższych znajomych).

The strong point of the OldSchoolSuicide Party is the location. The holiday center in Wilczyn provides sufficient distance from the city noise, and the proximity of the lake (more than one) is its additional advantage, as well as constituting the accommodation base of summer cottages. If this type of holiday atmosphere is what you expect from motoring events, consider coming to Wilczyn for a few days before the event as a vacation, and certainly you will not regret (especially if you plan a similar trip with a group of your closest friends).

Zaletą OSSP jest również fakt, że to tak naprawdę pierwszy event w sezonie, na którym można zbadać co działa się w garażach przez zimę. Hipokryzją byłoby gdybym stwierdził, że samochody nie mają w takich miejscach znaczenia. Oczywiście, to ludzie stanowią fundament, ale bez starannie dobranych projektów żaden zlot nie byłby należycie dopełniony. Mimo niewielkich rozmiarów imprezy, poziom zawsze należy zaliczyć do bardzo wysokich. Pomimo sugestywnej nazwy, na OSSP mile widziane są nie tylko pojazdy sprzed kilku dekad, choć faktycznie jest ich najwięcej. Golfy i Jetty pierwszej i drugiej serii, Corrado, Garbusy, czy klasyczne Audi, stanowią kontrast dla Golfów Mk5 i Mk6, Porsche i świeżych konstrukcji z Ingolstadt. Podobnie jak w ostatnich latach, również w 2019 na placu pojawiły się pojedyncze egzemplarze BMW i Mercedesów.

The advantage of OSSP is also the fact that it is really the first event of the season, where you can examine what guys made in their garages through the winter. It would be hypocritical if I said cars are not important in such places. Of course, people are the foundation, but without carefully selected projects, no event would be properly completed. Despite the small size of the party, the level should always be considered very high. Despite the suggestive name, not only vehicles from several decades ago are seen in the OSSP, although they are the most numerous. Golfs and Jetta of the first and second series, Corrado, Beetles, or classic Audi, are a contrast to Golfs Mk5 and Mk6, Porsche and fresh constructions from Ingolstadt. As in recent years, also in 2019 single units of BMW and Mercedes appeared on the square.

Cóż, w tym momencie dochodzimy do punktu, w którym należałoby wspomnieć o najciekawszych wozach, jakie pojawiły się w Wilczynie w tym roku, ale ponieważ trudno wymienić je wszystkie, tradycyjnie proponuję zapoznać się z naszą obszerną i bardzo przyjemną galerią zdjęć, w której znajdziesz wszystko, co godne uwagi.

Well, at this point we come to the point where we should mention the most interesting cars that appeared in Wilczyn this year, but because it is difficult to list them all, I traditionally suggest you familiarize yourself with our extensive and very nice photo gallery, where you will find everything that’s noteworthy.

Wystarczy spojrzeć na polski kalendarz imprez tuningowych by bez trudu wysnuć wniosek, że (niestety) scena zlotowa mocno obumiera. Owszem, tu i tam pojawiają się nowe pozycje, lecz mimo to w ciągu ostatnich kilku lat na mapie zabrakło tak znakomitych imprez jak choćby Style’d, Rock’N’Low, The BEST Of, czy Czillen Am Grillen. Tym bardziej cieszy nas, że takie ‘dinozaury’ jak OSSP wciąż mają się świetnie i chociaż ich organizatorzy nie próbują na siłę udoskonalać doskonałego, nadal cieszą się wierną rzeszą fanów. Póki tak jest, mamy powody do zadowolenia, dlatego już dziś zachowujemy w przyszłorocznym kalendarzu wyjazdów miejsce na niewątpliwego klasyka, jakim jest Party od OldSchoolSuicide.

Just look at the Polish calendar of tuning events to easily draw the conclusion that (unfortunately) the event scene is dying. Yes, there are new positions here and there, but in spite of that, during the last few years there were no such great events on the map as for example Style’d, Rock’N’Low, The BEST Of or Czillen Am Grillen. We are even more happy that such 'dinosaurs’ as the OSSP are still great, and although their organizers do not try to improve the perfect one, they still enjoy a loyal crowd of fans. While this is the case, we have reasons to be satisfied, which is why today we keep a place in the next year’s travel calendar for the undoubted classic that is Party from OldSchoolSuicide.
